Artificial Intelligence – Claudio R&D +++ DIstributed Ledger
Claudio & co. has doing Research & Development in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for many years. Focussing on Deep Learning with aspects from Neuroscience for analysing BigData towards AGI, as well as Natural Language Processing for improved and people-centric Human-Computer-Interaction. We like to solve the connection between World-knowledge databases (symbolic) and statistical machine learning.
The current quest is to gather data, which is more and more coming from IoT not only on a Blockchain, but encrypted on a next generation Distributed Ledger.
www.ai-claudio.com is engaged in research, authoring articles, blogging and connecting the communtiy.

MHP – A Porsche Company
MHP is a leading consulting firm in digitalisation and automotive and a subsidary of Porsche.
Nonetheless MHP is consulting many other companies then Porsche AG as well, like 6 automotive manufacturers, 90% of the German Top 25 automotive suppliers, a third of all German Top 100 commercial enterprises (by turnover) …

Bill Gates agrees that we should be worried about artificial super intelligence!
Just a little after the ‘Future of Life Institute’ published an open letter on Research Priorities for Robust and Beneficial Artificial Intelligence, which states many risks and examples including many research ideas to avoid those risks. You can read our article Demonic A.I.! What are we afraid of? Solutions to the risks! about that.
Bill Gates: I am in the camp that is concerned about super intelligence. First the machines will do a lot of jobs for us and not be super intelligent. That should be positive if we manage it well. A few decades after that though the intelligence is strong enough to be a concern. I agree with Elon Musk and some others on this and don’t understand why some people are not concerned

But he also is very exited and enthusiastic about A.I.:
Artificial intelligence is correctly perceived as a significant opportunity but also as an existential threat. A while ago Elon Musk urged us to be aware of A.I. , as it might be like calling for demons we might not be able to control. Also Cosmologist Stephen Hawking warned of the possible end of civilisation by AI. The dangers of which A.I. are very versatile.
About the dangers and far-reaching consequences was written very much in various media lately. As most readers have probably already read most of potential problems – here are solutions instead, from the brightest minds of A.I. and me.
(Starting soon) UC Berkeley’s introductory course of Artificial Intelligence (upper division course CS188) will begin and available to everyone online. You can join the classes for free or get certified for a minimum fee.
The lecturers will be Pieter Abbeel and Dan Klein, which both have masses of very positive student reviews and previous experience.
Stay also tuned for further information as well as lecture notes and possible discussions about this course on ai-claudio.com. If you can’t wait, have a look at UDACITY Machine Learning – 1 Supervised.
As young researcher we are extremely interested in the research and publication in Artificial Intelligence, especially Neuroscience for Machine Learning. Here are interesting Conferences and Events in 2015.
If you cannot attend, you still will be able get some of their papers and further resources on their linked event page.

Elon Musk is probably one of the most influential person of our lives and humankind beyond that. He also is (co-) founder of Paypal, Tesla Motors and SpaceX.
He is interested in A.I., but also believes that is might be a huge risk for our species. Be believe he is right that we really should take care about our ethics.
But despite my opinion, there will be always some people who will try any possible thing – society has to enforce some rules for humanity themselves.
Here is a transcript of Musk on A.I. (source: Elon Musk, Techcrunch)
Natural Language Processing is a big and usual different field as Neuronal Networks which usually prefer machine generated data as input, plus, often only simulate a much smaller part of the coretex as it is needed by humans to perform NLP.
At ai-claudio we have several thoughts on how to combine both of them with common tools, such as NLTK, wordnet, …
Here is someone elses project to do so:
Andrew McAfee talks on TED about a prediction he makes – far automation and A.I. – and how society might should change …
we will talk about it more later on this site, so far, please watch it, it’s also partly answering Humans need not apply.
Humans Need Not Apply – is an interesting video about current and soon robotic and A.I. developments and it’s effects on employment of the masses and therefore the society.
We too believe that we have to think about those topics now, and will discuss a possible answer in a TED speech later. Here first the video:
NuPic by Numenta – a deep learning system by sophisticated people.
By the time of writing this article our knowledge about NuPic is limited and these are mainly speech notes and first thoughts about the NuPic speech on the “oscon – open source convention” by O’Reilly in 2013.
We published the notes as we think NuPic is a great system and like its technical and organisational position. Please get your own impression about NuPic.
About the Theory
it’s basically based on “On Intelligence” by Jeff Hawkins (and Sandra Blakeslee), which is much about understanding the human “Cortical Learning Algorithm” to create a machine learning system as close to the Cortex as possible. So it is in a way, a very deep learning system which is based on simulation of a part of the brain.
They state, it is about a high-capacity sequence data-input to build pattern including a fault tolerance. The patterns are spatial as well as temporal.
